Jamey getting down to business.

From: tater1955 (Tue Feb 5 21:04:55 2008)
What an awesome Man of God

From: Surprised (Mon Feb 11 11:46:56 2008)
I can not understand why a "Man" of God would preach looking like that. That is a disgrace to the pulpit.

From: Nothing but a Hound Dog (Mon Feb 11 12:14:12 2008)
Ok give us the Scripture that says how a Man of God is supposed to dress.

From: Astonished (Mon Feb 11 12:17:45 2008)
"'He that weareth not the neck tie when he standeth in my pulpit and proclaimeth my Word is an abomination unto me,' saith the Lord." Hezekiah 7:18(KJV, 1611) I bet he "preaches" from the NIV, too.

From: Paula (Mon Feb 11 15:14:06 2008)
I have heard this man preach and he is a man of God and souls are being saved. Oh my, saved without a necktie.

From: Paula (Mon Feb 11 15:15:53 2008)
Dumb me, and I thought all you had to do was "call upon the name of the Lord, confess my sins, and be saved!! Guess I better add "make sure the preacher is wearing a necktie, or you won't really be saved. Give me a break!

From: Tim Fultz (Mon Feb 11 15:17:34 2008)
I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic (I'm under the impression you are, as there is no book 'Hezekiah'). We are under grace, not legalism. I think it's great that GC is getting the Word out!

From: Paula (Mon Feb 11 15:53:58 2008)
Tim, I so agree!! I am so thankful to my Lord for GRACE!! As the song says there's no other word for Grace but Amazing!!!

From: tater1955 (Tue Feb 12 12:30:31 2008)
Can you imagine what "Surprised" would say if John the Baptist or Paul or One of the diciples were to preach in that church.

From: Paula (Tue Feb 12 14:03:19 2008)
Doesn't sound like they would be proper enough to be invited to that church!!!!

From: Tim Fultz (Tue Feb 12 18:35:20 2008)
Especially with their eating habits ;)

From: Jonathon Wilburn (Wed Feb 13 13:12:30 2008)
1st Chronicles 16:22!!!

From: Jonathan Wilburn (Wed Feb 13 14:24:30 2008)
In this meeting there were over 70 people saved! The Word Of Go will not return void. Isa 55:11. My friends God will not be mocked! I do not believe God's man will be either. I would be very careful of how I treated or talked about God's man. 2Cron 36:16!

From: Jonathan Wilburn (Wed Feb 13 14:34:20 2008)
I am thankful to count Jamey as a friend. He stands on the Word. As for "Surprised" if you were a man or woman of integrity you would use your name and stand for what you believe! Your attitude is not welcome on this site or at a GOLD CITY concert!

From: Paula (Wed Feb 13 14:50:04 2008)
Jonathan, thank you so much for what you said. You are so right. One lesson my junior high Sunday School teacher taught me was NEVER to judge a Man of God.

From: Paula (Wed Feb 13 14:52:47 2008)
You know last year I drove 200 miles round trip for 4 days to hear yall sing and Jamey preach in Shreveport, LA and it was incredible. Jonathan, thanks for being my friend and standing of the Word of our Lord!!

From: Surprised (Thu Feb 14 15:50:57 2008)
Sorry if I upset anyone. I just believe the pulpit and the house of God is sacred. It discourages me when I see preachers look that way in the house of God. We should look our best at all times, not just church. I know for a fact that is not your best. Again I apologize for angering anyone.

From: Paula (Thu Feb 14 18:40:47 2008)
Surprised, still not man or woman enough to use your name, and STAND for what you believe?? I still stand with Gold City, Jamey Ragel and my Lord and Savior.

From: Tim (Thu Feb 14 20:51:58 2008)
Jonathan, thank you very much for thtinfo-very encouraging! As for 'Suprised,' I can understand where you are coming from. It is good to look your best, but one should't put that at a priority higher than what it needs. I've seen people actually urned off because of extra-exquisite dress.

From: Jonathan Wilburn (Fri Feb 15 15:35:43 2008)
I have been in the ministry all of my life and no one has yet to show me in the Bible dress requirments of a minister of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ!!! There are many traditions and I believe traditions is all that they are, not sactified behavior.

From: Jonathan Wilburn (Fri Feb 15 15:43:38 2008)
I do not understand when a singer or preacher takes a stand for an attack on their appreance why they are counted as being upset. I am not upset by any strech of the imagination. People choose to be offened by the most insignificant things.

From: Jonathan Wilburn (Fri Feb 15 15:44:04 2008)
This is the Devils way of keeping you from blessings you'll NEVER KNOW!! Im not upset just concenered for your spirtual well being. If you let what a man wears tarnish what he preaches or sings, what else could hinder you?

From: Jonathan Wilburn (Fri Feb 15 15:51:19 2008)
What is Gods definition of our best? I don’t believe God looks down and says, " Wow that man has on a suit, he must be a great Christian” That would be a ludicrous thought or belief.

From: Jonathan Wilburn (Fri Feb 15 15:51:57 2008)
The Bible in Galatians 1:10 from Paul says "For do I now persuade men or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

From: Jonathan Wilburn (Fri Feb 15 16:00:16 2008)
Finally my goal as a Christian is to be in the will of God and not in the will of man. And that would be my advice for anyone serving God on a daily basis. It is impossible to please God and to please man. As the song says “I Choose God”. God Bless you and I love every one of you.

From: Tim (Fri Feb 15 18:05:06 2008)
Thaks again Jonathan-you are exactly right. It's not outward appearance, but the heart. I'm raying or you guys and your ministry---Tim

From: Daniel Riley (Fri Feb 15 18:51:52 2008)
"Surprised," while I understand where you are coming from, I disagree with your view. Tradition calls for many things, while God's way often contradicts it. The religious people did not like Jesus. Why? Because He messed up their traditions.

From: Daniel Riley (Fri Feb 15 18:53:00 2008)
We do not take lightly any opportunity that God gives us to share the Gospel. If we thought for one second, and I will speak for Jamey as well, that the way we dress would keep anyone from coming to Christ, we would change in a heartbeat.

From: Daniel Riley (Fri Feb 15 18:53:31 2008)
We dressed that night the way we felt was appropriate. What made it appropriate? I have no idea. I just know that we all felt like this was appropriate that night. Many were saved. How can you argue with that?

From: Daniel Riley (Fri Feb 15 18:54:03 2008)
I do not think you are a bad person, and I believe you have the best of intentions. If you feel that you should wear a suit to church, then I believe that is what YOU should wear. It is between you and God.

From: Daniel Riley (Fri Feb 15 18:54:54 2008)
How productive is it to criticize a service where people made the most important decision of their life? Simple. It’s not. I love you all!!!

From: GC lover--meagan (Thu Feb 21 13:08:54 2008)
Surprised, please tell me where you got the book Hezekiah. And where you find in the Bible that Jesus dressed up in a suit and tie to preach and minister to people. As far as I can recall, Jesus preached to people as He was, he didn't dress up or anything.

From: GC lover--meagan (Thu Feb 21 13:10:00 2008)
Astonished, sorry
